Milner Gardens and Woodland is VIU’s community garden, a 70-acre site with old growth forest and a 50 year old garden. It is open to the public with educational programs, both for the public and for students in VIU’s horticulture program, who get on-site, hands-on training. Programs like Shoots with Roots, Milner’s children’s education program, which introduces children to the forest and the garden are incredibly valuable to VIU and to our community.
